Why start a yoga practice? What is Yoga? Is is a workout? Do I have to be flexible to do Yoga? Do I have to have done Yoga before?
It is not necessary to have done yoga before you come to Bikram's beginning yoga practice. Most certainly, you do not have to be flexible to do Yoga. That would be like saying, you have to know how to play the piano before you learn how to play the piano. Bikram Yoga is an exceptional workout which will put any body back into proper working order, better than ever before.
Bikram Yoga helps the mind and body, heart and lungs to communicate better. Some research has shown, the more flexible the arteries of your heart are, the more flexible your body is going to be. Each time you practice yoga, not only do you strengthen and tone every single part of your being, you build up your personality and your character. You must learn little by little, but the right way then you will not fail at anything you wish to acheive. Ground work and a good foundation must be layed before you build your house. There are no short cuts. It's the same in your life. When you stop looking for the easy way, then it becomes easier for you have accepted what must be done and you are a step closer.
