First Time/Etiquette

First Time

You will be amazed at what your body will do once you learn how to use it properly.

Getting prepared to do your first ever Bikram Yoga class. Congratulations, you are about to change your life in ways you cannot even imagine.

are you ready?

First time doing anything can be a little nerve wrecking. Don’t think your new, you don’t know what you are doing, that is why you will be instructed by highly skilled teachers. That’s our problem not yours. Does not matter what level of fitness, or lack of, you are at when you come to class. To us you are a blank canvas. If you have an injury you have an advantage. You will understand on a deeper level the benefits of yoga.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day so that your body is well hydrated and ready for class. Water should be a part of your life. Water is life! Hydration keeps the body cool and comfortable and the mind sharp and calm.

Arrive 15-20 mins before class begins. Only on your first class as there are forms to fill out and we will acquaint you with our studio. Arriving early allows for a stress free environment. Once you know the ropes you can come 5-10 mins before class. Class will always begin on time and access is not permitted once class begins. You are about to re-learn discipline.

Dress in cool tight fighting clothes. The less clothes the better. Please do not feel self conscious. Yoga is a loving environment and if you are coming from a place of access weight, enjoy even more to watch your body change before your very eyes. Long pants, long sleeved t-shirts are not adviseable. It's 42 degrees! Come prepared to sweat like never before.

If you have your own yoga mat please bring it to class. Yoga mats are available for rent (£1). We also provide a towel service (£1 per towel) to eliminate the amount of ‘gear’ you need to bring. So, are you ready to sweat?

See you in class.

warning... you are about to change your life. health and peace will be restored.
